The Studio
I just built a new studio. I designed it to have plenty of space and options for recording. It's got a big live room, mostly for tracking drums. It also serves as the heart of the space, where everyone can stand around the drummer in the same room, while their amps are in the other rooms. This lets everyone have eye contact, and still get an isolated sound with their instruments. If you feel like having your amp in the same room, there is plenty of space for that too! Your band can record everything live in the same room at the same time, or we can record drums first and build on it from there.
Gear
I've got a good selection of dynamic and condenser mics to choose from. They all work well for a wide variety of applications. Of course I've got direct boxes, cables, stands, all that junk.
I use the latest version of Protools to record, and before it gets there, it goes through my preamps. I've got 8 Presonus class a preamps, 4 Presonus tube mic preamps, 4 Focusrite preamps, or 12 channels of 1979 Peavey preamps if you're looking for a dirtier sound.
